These two quickly stole my heart after we met. They had the chemistry you hope for as a photographer. They met during a state fair, but then separated ways. Marty just knew he had to pursue Julia though so he followed her to BYU and took a break from his own semester of schooling. During fall semester at BYU, they became inseparable and fell truly in love. During the proposal Marty surprised her with a wintery park romantic surprise setup. He dug a pathway out of the snow, involving friends and family, he then lined the pathway with rose petals for her to follow.  At the end he had a candle lit table set up for her full of images from their dating adventures. The table contained receipts he had kept from all the dates, and things they had done together during their dating. Even as far has the receipt from the state fair where they met. Julia says he loves little details like that and she feels like the lucky one to have him.
I wanted a timeless elegant location but also have some elements of nature for their formal session. The capital building was the perfect venue for their story to unfold. We started with a classic Cinderella first look as she descended to him down a grand stair case. From the moment their eyes met I knew it was going to be an amazing shoot. Their chemistry was very real and very resonant to the camera. Twitter pated and in love we created a magic story book princess formal session for them to cherish all the days of their lives together.

Julia loves the traditional soft romantic bridal updo. Julie her hair and makeup artist said Julia had gorgeous blonde hair that falls below her shoulders, so she swept is up into a twisted low updo. She had a gorgeous jeweled headpiece to accent her beautiful hair with a few pieces left to frame her face. Her makeup was natural, luminous and gorgeous! A subtle natural Smokey eye and natural lips with a light blush! Her eyes are the star of the show, framing those gorgeous blue eyes are beautiful lashes.

Emily was inspired to create the florals based upson Julia’s color palette of dusty pink, burgundy, and slate blue and felt so inspired to find flowers that were a little wild and raw, but also soft and romantic, accenting the movement from Julia’s flowing gown from Gateway Bridal and her flawless, fairy-like features.
